  • SubText Books 6 West 5th Street Saint Paul, MN, 55102 United States (map)

Join us in the store on Thursday, March 22nd at 7:00 PM for a reading with Steven Muenzer for his book, "Rest at the Journey's End." Book signing to follow!

"Rest at the Journey's End" imagines first-hand experiences of WWII from the perspective of two people living at the edge of the war. Sonny and Rosa are torn apart as they try to leave Germany in 1938. Separately, they witness the disintegration of France and eventually forge their own paths as smugglers and spies on the Spanish border and later in Portugal. The sequel to "Farewell, Berlin," "Rest at a Journey's End" is a compelling story of duty, love, and commitment as Rosa and Sonny navigate the danger-filled worlds Portugal and France.
