Join SubText Books in the store on Friday, October 19th at 7:00 PM for an evening of poetry! Adrienne Novy will read from her latest collection, Crowd Surfing With God, and she’ll be joined by Graham Harrison, Jasper Hardin, and E.J. Schoenborn.
About the artists:
Graham Harrison is a queer, nonbinary Minneapolis based poet from Middle of Nowhere, Texas. Their work can be found in both Germ Magazine and Fifteen13 Press. They are currently the president of SPEAK, the University of Minnesota’s spoken word group, are a two time CUPSI attendee. When they’re not writing, reading, or going to slams, they can be found listening to the latest episode of The Adventure Zone, crying over The Mountain Goats, or taking themselves on a date to the local cinema. They really want to meet your cat.
Jasper Hardin (he him his/ they them theirs) is a poet and visual artist who lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He competed in the 2018 Rustbelt Competition. He has a self published chapbook entitled I Could Be A Galaxy. He is developing an online journal dedicated to Non-speaking and Semi-speaking writers and visual artists. Jasper has work published in Rising Phoenix Review and The Mighty. Jasper hopes to use his art to encourage necessary change and accessibility. E.J. Schoenborn (they/ them/ their) is a white, queer, and nonbinary trans femme spoken word poet from St. Paul, MN. Their poetry attempts to discuss class, (trans)gender identity, trauma and sexual violence, and more. Their poetry has been previously published by Button Poetry, Voicemail Poems, Freezeray, Rising Phoenix Review, Runestone Literary Journal, and more.
